ASUS has recently introduced its Ascent GX10 mini workstation, which is powered by the cutting-edge NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip. The 1TB variant of this workstation is priced at 32,999 yuan. This compact device measures a mere 150 x 150 x 51 mm, boasting a volume that is less than one-tenth of that of traditional workstations.
To ensure stable performance under heavy workloads, it incorporates a custom cooling system. This system features ultra-wide fins, five heat pipes, and dual 140×80mm fans. The GB10 Superchip is a fusion of a Blackwell GPU and a Grace CPU. The Grace CPU, in particular, is equipped with 20 Arm cores, making it capable of running large language models with over 200 billion parameters seamlessly.
The Ascent GX10 is outfitted with 128GB of LPDDR5X unified memory and offers a range of SSD storage options, spanning from 1TB to 4TB. Its GPU, based on the Blackwell architecture, is packed with 6,144 CUDA cores, integrates fifth-generation Tensor Cores, and supports the FP4 data format. Leveraging NVIDIA NVLink-C2C chip interconnection technology, it achieves a unified interconnection of CPU and GPU memory models, delivering bandwidth that is five times greater than that of PCIe 5.0.
Users have the flexibility to locally interconnect two Ascent GX10 units, enabling them to tackle AI tasks with up to 405 billion parameters. Furthermore, developers can create and test AI models locally, and then effortlessly migrate them to NVIDIA DGX Cloud or other accelerated cloud and data center infrastructures. This seamless transition streamlines the prototyping, model fine-tuning, and iteration processes, enhancing overall efficiency.
