During the exclusive launch event for Huawei's HarmonyOS 6 operating system, a significant announcement was made: the HarmonyOS 6 will facilitate seamless data transfer between devices running on Apple's iOS, iPadOS, and macOS platforms. To utilize this cross-platform data transfer capability, users will be required to download a dedicated application from the App Store, which is set to be released in the near future. The anticipated launch date for this data interoperability feature is December 2025. It will support the transfer of a wide range of file formats, encompassing images, videos, and general files.
Once this feature becomes available, Huawei devices—including phones, tablets, and PCs—operating on HarmonyOS 6.0 or subsequent versions will be capable of exchanging files with iPhones and iPads running iOS 13 or newer, as well as with Macs powered by macOS 10.15 or later iterations. Presently, the rollout of the HarmonyOS 6.0.0.108 SP6 version has commenced, promising users an enhanced, smoother experience along with the introduction of novel features post-upgrade.
