Recently, the Pew Research Center in the United States issued a global survey report. It turns out that Americans are the most worried about artificial intelligence (AI) among all countries globally. This is rather noteworthy, considering that the United States is both the birthplace and a major driving force behind the AI industry. The survey uncovered that 50% of Americans express more worry than excitement regarding the application of AI in daily life. This percentage marks a significant increase from the 37% recorded in 2021. Among the respondents, 53% believe that AI will erode humans' creative thinking abilities, and 50% are of the opinion that AI will weaken meaningful human relationships. Moreover, 53% of those surveyed admitted they lack sufficient confidence in spotting AI-generated content. Meanwhile, a substantial 76% consider the ability to identify such content as highly important.
