Several days ago, OpenAI entered into strategic agreements with companies like Luxshare Precision to collaboratively develop consumer-grade AI hardware devices. Notably, Luxshare Precision has clinched the assembly contract for at least one such device. This innovative product will come in diverse forms, potentially encompassing smart glasses, wearable pins, or pocket-sized screenless terminals. It will support multimodal interactions and deeply integrate advanced large models, such as the anticipated GPT-5. The debut of the first product is projected for late 2026 or early 2027.

Furthermore, OpenAI has also reached out to Goertek, expressing its intention to source components like speaker modules for its upcoming products. In response to inquiries, Luxshare Precision refrained from providing a direct comment. However, sources within the industry chain have confirmed that OpenAI has indeed embarked on a collaborative journey with Chinese supply chains.
