According to The Information, AI giant OpenAI has reached a strategic cooperation with Luxshare Precision, a leading enterprise in China's 'Apple supply chain,' to jointly develop revolutionary AI devices for consumers. Currently in the prototype stage, the device is designed to be pocket-sized, with contextual awareness capabilities, and can deeply integrate the ChatGPT large model. Luxshare Precision may not be the only Apple supplier involved, as Goertek may provide speaker modules for the device. The first batch of devices is expected to hit the market between the end of 2026 and early 2027, aiming to create an independent AI hardware ecosystem that does not rely on smartphones/PCs.
