On September 21, 2025, the Quantum Intelligence Symposium, part of the Pujiang Innovation Forum and themed "AI Quantum: Quantum Intelligence," took place at Zhangjiang Science City. During the event, two significant initiatives were announced: the establishment of the Shanghai Quantum Artificial Intelligence Consortium and the Shanghai Quantum Technology Equipment Industry Innovation Alliance. Additionally, Shanghai unveiled its top ten application scenarios for quantum computing. The Shanghai Quantum Artificial Intelligence Consortium brings together 12 research institutions, including Fudan University and the Shanghai Institute for Advanced Study, along with several leading companies in the quantum technology sector. Over the next five years, the consortium aims to drive cross-disciplinary research in quantum artificial intelligence, achieve breakthroughs in fundamental theories, core technologies, and major applications, and nurture high-caliber, cross-disciplinary talent teams.
