On September 21, during the Sub-Forum on Embodied AI Frontier Technologies and Standardization Innovation at the 2025 Pujiang Innovation Forum, Shanghai made a significant announcement by officially launching the ITU Standardization Outlook for Embodied AI Robots, the Standard for Humanoid Robot Dataset, and the 'Pujiang X' Embodied AI Standardized Dataset Platform (DOME). This comprehensive standardization framework, developed under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Shanghai Market Supervision Bureau, was a collaborative effort involving the Shanghai Robotics Industry & Technology Research Institute and 19 other institutions spanning industry, academia, and research. It meticulously outlines criteria for the classification and coding of humanoid robot datasets, establishes detailed data annotation guidelines, sets standards for data quality assessment, and defines standardized dataset formats. This groundbreaking initiative is poised to create a unified data language for the humanoid robot sector, both within Shanghai and nationwide, thereby expediting the transition of humanoid robots from the realm of technological experimentation to widespread commercial deployment.
