As per the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Office of the Leading Group for Innovation and Development in the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Sector within Guangdong Province has unveiled the "Action Plan for Accelerating the AI Empowerment of Guangdong's Toy Industry (2025-2027)". This strategic blueprint envisions the creation of pioneering AI-driven toy products, immersive scenarios, and innovative models. Key initiatives encompass fostering the synergy between AI and robotics to carve out a fresh market for companion toys and championing exemplary "robot+" application frameworks.

It urges tech enterprises to spearhead the infusion of AI and robotics technologies into the toy domain, reimagining the essence and utility of toys. This includes crafting compact AI robots, lifelike bionic pets, and an array of "AI + companion robots" capable of engaging in multifaceted interactions encompassing visual, motor, and vocal dimensions. These innovations are poised to permeate diverse settings such as entertainment hubs, educational institutions, elderly care facilities, familial environments, and social arenas. By doing so, it aims to explore a cross-industry integration paradigm of "AI + toys + robots", thereby unlocking new high-value-added avenues for the toy industry.
