Based on the latest data unveiled by QuestMobile for August 2025, Doubao's monthly active user count soared to 157.42 million, representing a 6.6% month-on-month uptick. This performance enabled Doubao to overtake DeepSeek and clinch the top spot in the monthly active user rankings for Chinese domestic AI apps. Although DeepSeek still boasts a user base in the hundreds of millions, its ranking dropped to the second place as a result of a 4.0% month-on-month decrease. Among other apps, Tencent Yuanbao firmly maintains the third position, with a 22.4% month-on-month growth rate. Meanwhile, apps such as Jimeng AI and AQ shine in specific market segments.
