At an internal company gathering, Baidu's founder, Robin Li, bestowed the prestigious 'Baidu Highest Award' upon the 'Flow' team, awarding them a substantial $1 million (equivalent to over 7 million RMB) prize. Since its inception in July 2010, the 'Baidu Highest Award' has been conferred 15 times, with the total prize money amounting to nearly 400 million RMB. To qualify for this accolade, a project must satisfy three stringent criteria: it must have a profound impact, deliver results that significantly surpass expectations, and be executed by a team comprising no more than 10 members. The 'Flow' team distinguished itself as the pioneer in achieving end-to-end multimodal content comprehension and sequential generation technology.
Robin Li remarked that the development of models is on the verge of a transformative breakthrough, with highly valuable applications poised to emerge shortly. Presently, almost 70% of Baidu Search results incorporate AI-generated content. The Huibo Star digital humans have attained a level of realism that makes them virtually indistinguishable from real humans, and Luobo Kuaipao's services have expanded to encompass 16 cities. He urged everyone to collectively embrace a society propelled by innovation.
