On September 8, as per the information released on the WeChat official account of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Shanghai has embarked on establishing a project reserve for future industry test sites for 2025. This move is in line with the deployment outlined in the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Innovative Development of Future Industries," jointly issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and six other departments. The primary objective is to construct test sites tailored for future industries, thereby expanding the range of application scenarios, expediting technological advancements, curtailing the application expenses associated with innovative achievements, and nurturing fresh engines of growth.

The call for proposals centers around industrial clusters and technological avenues such as future intelligence, advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, space exploration, advanced materials, and healthcare of the future. It encourages project technology suppliers, integrators, and parties involved in scenario applications to forge ecological partnerships within the industrial chain. Emphasis is placed on tasks like core technology research, product testing and validation, as well as demonstration applications, with the ultimate goal of developing landmark products.
