The Independent Variable Robotics Company has recently announced the successful completion of its A+ round of financing, raising nearly 1 billion yuan. This round was spearheaded by Alibaba Cloud and China Science & Merchants Investment Management. Notable participants in this funding round include China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Ltd., Sequoia Capital China, and INCE Capital. Additionally, existing investor Meituan Strategic Investments demonstrated strong confidence by making an oversubscribed follow-on investment. Legend Star and Legend Capital also showed continued support by furthering their investments in the company. The newly acquired funds will be strategically allocated towards the training of a fully self-developed, general-purpose embodied AI foundational model, as well as the research and development of cutting-edge hardware products.
