Apple is vigorously advancing the development of its proprietary generative AI search tool. To this end, the company has assembled a dedicated team dubbed "Answers, Knowledge, and Information." The unveiling of this product may arrive sooner than anticipated. Although Siri's AI capabilities have been somewhat underwhelming, Apple is unwavering in its commitment to establishing a strong presence in the generative AI arena. The tech giant is channeling its efforts into crafting an "Answers" feature that can go toe - to - toe with the likes of Perplexity and ChatGPT. According to reports, this in - house AI search product, which bears the internal code name "World Knowledge Answers" (WKA), is slated for release in tandem with the new Siri next March. There are also expectations that it will be seamlessly integrated into the Safari browser and the Spotlight search tool down the line. At present, Apple is conducting internal "technology selection testing." However, this process is not expected to disrupt the launch schedule of the new Siri and the "question - and - answer engine."
