On September 5, TechCrunch broke the news that Mark Zuckerberg—a bankruptcy attorney based in Indiana, U.S.—had filed a lawsuit against Meta and its CEO, also named Mark Zuckerberg. The reason? His Facebook account had been disabled five times over the course of eight years. Attorney Zuckerberg claimed that his account was repeatedly banned because Meta had erroneously concluded he was impersonating the company’s founder. This, he argued, led to a loss of thousands of dollars in business revenue. In response, Meta has since reinstated his account and assured that it is implementing measures to avoid such mix-ups in the future.
