On August 26, Meituan hosted an Open Day event in Beijing focused on Rider Algorithm Negotiation and Co-governance. During the event, the Director of Rider Experience Operations at Meituan announced a significant milestone: the company intends to fully eliminate the overtime penalty system by the end of 2025. Furthermore, Meituan is collaborating with relevant authorities to establish a "Rider-Friendly Community," aimed at facilitating data interoperability. This initiative will enable riders to swiftly enter and exit locations by scanning codes, enhancing their convenience and efficiency.
The Head of Public Affairs at Meituan also shared that this year, the company will undergo a comprehensive optimization of rider reporting channels and the appeal process. By leveraging AI technology, Meituan aims to efficiently identify and categorize the issues faced by riders, thereby reducing the complexity of appeals and significantly improving the efficiency and quality of problem resolution.
