On June 3, Broadcom announced its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, projecting AI chip sales of $16 billion for the third quarter, falling short of market expectations of $17.2 billion. It also forecasts AI chip sales of $56 billion for fiscal year 2026, which is similarly below expectations. Broadcom stated that it has begun delivering chips to OpenAI and plans to deploy 1.3 gigawatts of computing infrastructure by 2027.
