On March 12, Baidu Intelligent Cloud introduced the world's inaugural mobile lobster application, Red Finger Operator, enabling users to virtually "cultivate lobsters" on their smartphones by simply downloading the app. This innovative application seamlessly integrates Baidu's proprietary AI Agent technology, facilitating cross-app functionalities such as ride-hailing and food delivery services. Upon its release, the app triggered an immediate surge in downloads, temporarily overwhelming system backend resources. Baidu is now diligently allocating additional resources to maintain a smooth and uninterrupted user experience.
On the same day, Peter Steinberger, founder of OpenClaw, lauded China's swift advancements in AI innovation on international social media platforms and expressed his enthusiasm for potential collaboration with Baidu. Prior to this, Baidu had already launched Duclaw, a computer-based platform for "lobster farming," and the introduction of Red Finger Operator marks another significant step forward in popularizing AI technology for everyday consumer use.
