The thriving new energy vehicle industry has spurred an investment surge in the realm of power battery recycling. Since July, regions such as Jiangxi, Guangdong, Sichuan, Jiangsu, and Anhui have successively announced projects related to power battery recycling, with numerous listed companies actively taking part. Industry experts highlight that as the warranty periods of early power batteries expire successively and the subsidy policy for replacing new energy vehicles gains momentum, the number of retired power batteries is projected to surge significantly. Since China's annual production of new energy vehicles surpassed one million in 2018, it has consistently maintained a growth trajectory. Considering an 8-year warranty period, the nationwide scale of retired power batteries is anticipated to expand rapidly starting from 2026.
