On August 6, it emerged that the esteemed European luxury brands, Maserati and Alfa Romeo, are contemplating the utilization of Chery's advanced E0X electric platform for the development of new energy vehicles. In response to these speculations, Chery Group stated that they were unaware of such plans. Nonetheless, Yin Tongyue, the Chairman of Chery Automobile, had previously hinted that two European luxury brands would leverage Chery's platform to produce high-end vehicles. Industry insiders suggest that these two brands are indeed Maserati and Alfa Romeo. Both automakers are currently speeding up their transition to electric mobility and have introduced several pure electric models. Furthermore, Chery has already signed a letter of intent for strategic cooperation with Jaguar Land Rover, aiming to foster a new collaborative model and introduce an electric product line equipped with Chery's electric platform.
