On July 30, Toyota Motor Corporation announced that it had sold a record-breaking 5,544,880 vehicles globally during the first half of 2025 (January to June), marking a 7.4% increase from the previous year. This achievement sets a new benchmark for Toyota's first-half sales after a three-year hiatus. The sales figure encompasses those of its group companies, Daihatsu Motor and Hino Motors, positioning Toyota to surpass Volkswagen's estimated sales of approximately 4.41 million units, thereby securing its position as the world's top-selling automaker for the sixth consecutive year.
