In response to the 5165th proposal during the Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress on July 30, the National Energy Administration (NEA) emphasized that China's electric vehicle charging and battery swapping industry has matured significantly over the years, characterized by a vast array of enterprises, intense market competition, and well-established market conditions. Consequently, most regions have adopted a liberalized approach to charging and swapping service fees, allowing enterprises to set their prices based on market dynamics. The NEA continues to steer operating enterprises towards standardized practices, highlighting the importance for entities involved in the construction, design, execution, and oversight of public charging and swapping stations to uphold safety responsibilities, establish and refine operation and maintenance teams, enhance routine inspections and intelligent maintenance, and bolster equipment reliability and fault resolution capabilities. Looking ahead, the NEA will actively research and develop pertinent policy documents aimed at elevating the quality of charging operation services, thereby fostering the healthy development of the new energy vehicle industry.
