In a bid to address declining sales and overcapacity issues, Nissan Motor has announced plans to shut down two factories in Mexico, accelerating its business restructuring efforts. The affected facilities include the historic Cuernavaca plant (officially known as CIVAC, situated in Jiutepec) and the COMPAS plant, a joint venture with Mercedes-Benz.
