On Monday, the South Korean government unveiled data indicating that, as of the end of June, the nation's eco-friendly car registrations surpassed the 3 million mark for the first time. This surge is attributed to the heightened demand for hybrid and electric vehicles. Nationwide, the total number of registered vehicles stands at 26.41 million, marking a 0.4% year-on-year increase. In stark contrast, the count of internal combustion engine vehicles has declined to 23.12 million, a drop of 249,000 units.
