On July 25, during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2025 (WAIC 2025), Shanghai issued a fresh batch of demonstration operation licenses for intelligent connected vehicles. WeRide, a pioneering autonomous driving technology company, alongside Chery Automobile and Jinjiang Taxi, has received approval to offer driverless autonomous ride-hailing demonstration services in Pudong New Area. This milestone signifies WeRide's official expansion into its 10th city globally for its Robotaxi service.
