A federal judge in the United States has once again postponed the hearing on the Boeing 737 MAX crash case, moving it from August 28 to September 3. The purpose of the delay is to review a deferred prosecution agreement reached between the Department of Justice and Boeing. This agreement, which pertains to two air disasters claiming a total of 346 lives, is intended to shield Boeing from criminal prosecution. As part of the agreement, Boeing will pay over $1.1 billion, encompassing fines, compensation funds, and investments in compliance and safety measures.

The families of the victims are staunchly opposed to this agreement and are demanding a public trial, seeking accountability for Boeing's executives.
