Chery Automobile has announced a partnership with India's JSW Group to furnish components, thereby supporting JSW in the launch of its proprietary brand of new energy vehicles by 2027. Both entities have emphasized that this collaboration is solely focused on component supply and does not encompass the transfer of core technologies. Instead, JSW will develop these technologies internally and in collaboration with other Indian enterprises. Leveraging its expertise in electric powertrains, hybrid systems, and smart cabins, Chery will aid JSW in expediting its localization production process. Notably, this new brand will operate autonomously from MG Motor India, a joint venture between JSW and SAIC Motor.
