On July 24, an incident involving a BYD vehicle losing control in the parking lot of Chengdu Tianfu Airport garnered widespread attention online. Both BYD and the Airport Public Security Bureau of the Sichuan Provincial Public Security Department promptly issued statements. They affirmed that the vehicle's braking system was functioning normally and attributed the incident to driver Jiang, who, unable to reach the passenger, became distressed and began driving in circles without causing any accidents. The vehicle was safely brought to a halt by its owner. BYD vowed to take legal action against those spreading false rumors. An eyewitness at the scene recounted that the vehicle continued to circle and was eventually stopped via remote control, with the driver unharmed.
