SenseTime to Launch Independent Embodied AI Venture

SenseTime has revealed plans to establish an autonomous embodied AI company, with its core team comprising leading technical experts such as Wang Xiaogang and Tao Dacheng. Wang Xiaogang, a key contributor to the groundbreaking DeepID series of facial recognition technologies, joined SenseTime in 2016 and has been at the helm of the Absolute Shadow Intelligent Automobile Business Group since 2022. Tao Dacheng, renowned for his significant achievements in representation learning, previously held a position at JD Explore Academy, and his expertise spans visual signal processing and autonomous driving, among other areas.
