Toyota Motor Corporation has announced a recall of approximately 640,000 vehicles in Japan due to issues concerning the instrument cluster display. Affected models include the prestigious Alphard and Vellfire. The recall stems from a defect in the instrument control program, which accelerates the aging of electronic components. This could lead to the instrument cluster failing to display critical information such as the speedometer and warning lights upon engine startup. Once the vehicles are recalled, the problematic parts will be replaced.
