On July 17, the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Statistics website announced that the Information Office of the Sichuan Provincial Government held a press conference. The conference revealed that in the first half of the year, Sichuan's power batteries, new energy vehicles, and vanadium-titanium industries saw value-added growth of 36.5%, 11.0%, and 13.8%, respectively. Notably, the "new three" – new energy vehicles, photovoltaic batteries, and lithium-ion power batteries for automobiles – witnessed significant increases of 240%, 190%, and 53.2% in production. Most strikingly, the output of new energy vehicles hit 144,000 units, surpassing the projected annual total for 2024. This figure represents 27.6% of the province's overall automobile production and marks a year-on-year increase of 16.2 percentage points.
