On July 16, it was announced that the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) has recently launched defect investigations into ten commercial vehicle manufacturers, encompassing Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles, Beiqi Foton, King Long United Automobile (Suzhou), and FAW Jiefang, in adherence to relevant administrative regulations. These manufacturers have been mandated to recall vehicles with potential safety hazards, encompassing a total of 56 vehicle models and 1,675 vehicles. The primary issues identified pertain to protective devices, roof poles, body reflective markings, and driver absence warning functions that fail to meet national mandatory safety standards.

To further enhance vehicle safety management, SAMR will intensify its collaboration with the Ministry of Public Security. This will involve promoting information sharing mechanisms and jointly safeguarding vehicle safety, thereby ensuring that public life and property, as well as road traffic safety, remain uncompromised.
