Tang Jing, the President of Li Auto's flagship product line, addressed the incorporation of "HW motors" in the L7 model, clarifying that while the motors may indeed be sourced from Huawei, this decision was not motivated by any technological deficiencies. He underscored that the rear motors for the L7, L8, and L9 models are standardized 200kW products, procured from three distinct suppliers, thereby fortifying the robustness of the supply chain. Li Auto has independently developed a technologically advanced front five-in-one motor, further emphasizing its commitment to innovation. As for the reliance on Huawei for key components, Tang Jing expressed confidence, noting that the supply is sourced from Huawei's digital energy business, which operates independently from its consumer terminal business, thereby mitigating any potential competitive conflicts. Furthermore, he revealed that Li Auto's MEGA platform also incorporates Huawei motors.
