By the end of June, according to statistics from the Ministry of Public Security, the total count of new energy vehicles (NEVs) nationwide stood at 36.89 million, comprising 10.27% of the overall vehicle population. Notably, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) led the pack with a 69.23% share, totaling 25.539 million units. During the first six months of the year, an impressive 5.622 million NEVs were newly registered, signifying a 27.86% increase from the previous year. This figure accounted for 44.97% of all newly registered vehicles, achieving a record-high proportion.
