New Energy Vehicle Registrations Surge to 5.622 Million in H1, Setting New Record

By the end of June 2025, China's motor vehicle population had climbed to 460 million, with the number of new energy vehicles (NEVs) soaring to 36.89 million, constituting 10.27% of the total automotive fleet. Pure electric vehicles dominated the NEV market, accounting for 69.23% of all NEVs. During the first half of the year, an impressive 5.622 million NEVs were newly registered, marking a 27.86% year-on-year increase. This achievement set a new record high and accounted for 44.97% of all newly registered automobiles.
