On the 9th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) launched an online portal on the 'National Platform for Complaints of Breach of Contract and Default in Payment to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises' to address issues arising from key automakers failing to uphold their pledge of a 60-day payment term. Initially, 17 automakers, including FAW and Dongfeng, had vowed to maintain a payment period of no more than 60 days to their suppliers. However, in practice, several automakers are now struggling to meet this commitment due to pressing cash flow issues.
