The United States government has lifted the ban, permitting American firms to resume exporting jet engines to China. According to reliable sources, the US Department of Commerce has notified GE Aviation, granting it approval to resume supplying engines to COMAC. This includes the LEAP-1C engine, jointly produced with France's Safran Group, which powers the C919 single-aisle passenger aircraft. At least two companies are now able to provide parts to COMAC.
