In the second quarter, BYD achieved a significant milestone by delivering 606,993 pure electric vehicles, marking a robust 42.5% year-on-year growth. This accomplishment positions BYD ahead of Tesla for the third consecutive quarter. Tesla, on the other hand, delivered 384,122 vehicles during the same period, experiencing a 13% year-on-year decline amidst multiple challenges, including sales erosion and a plummeting stock price that has dipped by nearly 30% this year.
