On July 1, BYD celebrated a significant milestone in its global expansion journey with the official rollout of the first vehicle from its passenger car factory in Camaçari, Bahia, Brazil. The factory, boasting an investment of 5.5 billion Brazilian reais, boasts an initial annual production capacity of 150,000 new energy vehicles, with projections to generate 20,000 jobs. Leading the way off the assembly line was the Seagull model, with future plans to produce the Song PRO and Destroyer 05. BYD affirmed its commitment to fostering the local new energy vehicle industry supply chain and has already established a footprint in over 110 countries and regions, achieving overseas sales exceeding 470,000 units in the first half of the year.
