On June 30, Daihatsu Motor, a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation, announced the temporary suspension of production at two of its factories in Japan. The decision was necessitated by a shortage of parts from suppliers. Specifically, the Shiga No.2 Plant will cease operations from July 8 to 11, and the Oita Nakatsu No.2 Plant will halt production from July 7 to 11. This pause in production is anticipated to disrupt Daihatsu's production schedules and impact its supply chain. The root cause of this disruption is the inadequate supply of parts.
