Volvo Cars has issued a recall for a total of 5,668 locally produced and imported vehicles, encompassing models such as the XC60, C40, XC40, S90, S60, and XC90. The recall is necessitated by a software flaw in the brake control module. Under certain driving conditions, specifically when continuously coasting downhill for over 1 minute and 30 seconds, this defect may result in brake failure, presenting a significant safety risk. To address this issue, Volvo will provide a free software upgrade for all affected vehicles.
