On June 27, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) unveiled a comprehensive plan. This plan underscores the necessity of reinforcing the development of green and low-carbon industrial standards to steer the direction of industrial growth. Among the specific initiatives outlined, there is a focus on accelerating the revision and creation of standards for various energy sources' complementary utilization, encompassing industrial green microgrids, clean and low-carbon hydrogen applications, efficient utilization of low- and medium-temperature waste heat and energy, and high-efficiency energy storage batteries. These measures aim to boost the industrial sector's adoption of renewable and new energy sources. Furthermore, the plan advocates for enhancing the standard systems in pivotal areas such as photovoltaics, new energy vehicles, green intelligent computing, green shipping, green aviation, green power equipment, green light industry, and environmental protection equipment. These enhancements are intended to foster the nurturing of new drivers that propel green development forward.
