On June 17, scientists from Hubei East Lake Laboratory attained a remarkable feat by propelling a 1.1-tonne test vehicle to a speed of 650 kilometers per hour on a 1,000-meter-long test track, leveraging levitation support and electromagnetic propulsion technology. This achievement marked a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of less than one second. The newly constructed high-speed maglev test track, equipped with robust electromagnetic assistance and precise speed measurement and positioning technologies, not only facilitates "ground-skimming flight" but also enables the vehicle to decelerate to a complete stop within 200 meters. Its dependable acceleration and braking control system positions it as a pivotal platform for the research, development, and testing of high-speed trains in China.
