Avatr is ramping up its internal research and development (R&D) efforts in intelligent driving, aiming to integrate Momenta's solution to develop the intelligent driving system for its upcoming overseas models. The company has formed a dedicated R&D team of nearly 300 individuals, focusing on advancing intelligent cockpit and driving technologies. These developments come amidst normal personnel adjustments within the company's management structure, with the total size of the intelligent R&D team now exceeding 300 personnel. Avatr, a joint venture between Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL, has achieved remarkable sales success, surpassing 150,000 units with an average selling price of over 270,000 yuan. In May 2025, the company recorded sales of 12,767 units, marking a year-on-year increase of 179% and the third consecutive month of sales exceeding 10,000 units. Furthermore, Avatr has announced its foray into the Hong Kong market, with the Avatr 11 model serving as its inaugural offering in the region.
