On Wednesday, a legal firm representing Tesla owners in France announced that a subset of these vehicle owners have initiated legal action against Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk. The plaintiffs allege that Musk's public endorsement of Donald Trump and the German far-right party, Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), has inadvertently turned Tesla cars into symbols associated with the far-right, thereby tarnishing their reputations. Consequently, these car owners have submitted a petition to the Paris Commercial Court, seeking the termination of their lease agreements and reimbursement of legal costs. They argue that Musk's actions have caused them "direct and tangible" harm.
