Effective July 1, 2025, Dr. Jochem Heizmann will succeed Matthias Müller as the CEO of Volkswagen Passenger Cars Brand China and Executive Vice President of Volkswagen Group China. Since January 1, 2025, Dr. Heizmann has been overseeing product and strategic matters for Volkswagen Group in China, ensuring a seamless continuation of the "In China, for China" strategy. In turn, Mr. Müller will relocate to Germany to assume the role of Chairman of the Management Board of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
Dr. Heizmann holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and brings a wealth of experience from various roles within the Volkswagen brand, including production strategy, company operations in South Africa, and management of the MQB product line.
