On June 11, the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance released the latest figures, revealing that China's power battery loading volume reached 57.1GWh in May. This represents a 5.5% increase from the previous month and a 43.1% surge year-on-year. Specifically, the loading volume of ternary batteries stood at 10.5GWh, comprising 18.4% of the total, with a 13.1% month-on-month increase and a modest 1.6% year-on-year rise. Lithium iron phosphate batteries, on the other hand, accounted for a significant 81.6% of the total with a loading volume of 46.5GWh, experiencing a 3.9% month-on-month growth and a remarkable 57.7% year-on-year jump. Cumulative power battery loading volume for the first five months of this year amounted to 241.4GWh, marking a 50.4% year-on-year increase. Among these, ternary batteries contributed 44.8GWh, representing 18.6% of the total and noting a 12.4% year-on-year decline. Lithium iron phosphate batteries dominated with a cumulative loading volume of 196.5GWh, or 81.4% of the total, showcasing a robust 79.8% year-on-year growth.
