On June 7, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) spokesperson announced that Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao recently engaged in discussions in France with Valdis Dombrovskis, the European Commission's Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security. The dialogue covered key topics such as the EU's anti-subsidy investigation into Chinese electric vehicles, China's anti-dumping case against EU brandy, and the regulation of rare earth exports. Negotiations regarding price commitments in the China-EU electric vehicle case have progressed to their final stage. In the brandy case, French enterprises have submitted a price commitment application to the Chinese side, with both parties having already agreed on core terms. Regarding rare earth export controls, China has expressed its willingness to establish a streamlined process for eligible applications.
