During the 'China Automotive Chongqing Forum' held in Chongqing, Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Holding Group, participated virtually and expressed that the current global automotive industry is plagued by severe overcapacity. Consequently, Geely has made the strategic decision to halt the construction of new auto production facilities in order to mitigate redundant infrastructure. Instead, Geely intends to fully leverage global excess capacity to foster pragmatic collaborations and resource realignments. By employing a robust quality assurance system and skilled technical personnel, Geely aims to enhance the utilization of industry-wide excess capacity, thereby engaging in global market competition with a cooperative and inclusive approach.
