At the '2025 China Auto Chongqing Forum' held in Chongqing on June 6, Zhang Xinghai, Chairman of Thalys Group, emphasized that despite China's remarkable advancements in the smart electric vehicle industry, the intensifying competition has given rise to an "involutionary competition." This model poses significant threats to supply chain stability, lowers safety standards for component manufacturers, diminishes the profitability and innovative services of automakers, and jeopardizes product quality and safety. Furthermore, it disrupts the coordination of the industrial chain and impedes the industry's endogenous growth, thereby hindering its sustainable development.
