OPPO has inked a groundbreaking global patent license agreement with Volkswagen Group on June 5, granting Volkswagen's connected cars access to standard essential patents for cellular communications, encompassing 5G technology. This marks OPPO's maiden collaboration with an automaker, heralding the extension of its cellular communication expertise into the automotive industry. By January 2025, OPPO stood eighth in the world for comprehensive 5G patent strength, boasting over 113,000 patent applications and 62,000 granted patents. Furthermore, OPPO's proprietary VOOC flash charging technology has been embraced by over 60 automakers, cumulatively equipping more than 10 million vehicles with this innovative charging solution.
